Replace ASUS N56XX BIOS
Hi, If you have ever experienced with your Asus N56xx a black screen at start-up , even no logo, or access to the BIOS. It means you BIOS is bricked, yeah exactly, sounds like ASUS did it in purpose after a random number of boot. No worries, the solution is below, with the BIOS file, but you will need some things and skills.
Required components
-
24CXX 24LCXX Programmer EEPROM

-
EEPROM Clip

Download
- ASUS N56VZ BIOS
Yes this is the only online version that I could find in 2016, as I’m using the N56VB, I lost the backlit keyboard but everything else is working fine.
Download
- EEPROM Programmer Software (That runs only on Windows XP, you can also use a VM)
Prepare
- Place your Windows XP computer close to the motherboard ( I would advise a USB extender cable)
-
Connect the clip to the EEPROM of your motherboard

Fix it
- Backup your bricked BIOS
- Install the new BIOS
- Remount half or your PC, just to test first.
- Enjoy your new working computer.
